Apparent Networks’ PathView Cloud Solution Now Helping More than 3,000 Users Achieve Better Network Performance Management

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass.June 8, 2009Apparent Networks today announced that it has surpassed the 3,000-user milestone for its PathView Cloudhosted network fault and performance management solution. X10 Networks, a leading provider of end-to-end network infrastructure and business applications solutions, became the 3,000th PathView Cloud user and the newest member of Apparent Networks’Powered by PathViewpartner program. This user milestone demonstrates the rapid worldwide adoption of PathView Cloud, which was first introduced in September 2009.

The company’s services include architecture, integration and support of network components and business applications. X10 Networks selected PathView Cloud to provide unique capabilities for monitoring, testing and troubleshooting network performance issues - even through third-party networks - to ensure the most effective delivery of next-generation applications and networking services for its customers.

X10 Networks is using PathView Cloud in combination with Apparent Networks’ PathView microAppliance. With this combination, X10 Networks can efficiently perform pre-deployment assessments of network performance to ensure the effective roll-out of new voice, video and data services. In addition, PathView enables X10 Networks to provide its customers with custom-branded reports that demonstrate the network performance benefits delivered by its services. X10 Networks also plans to leverage PathView to create a new managed service that will provide ongoing network monitoring, troubleshooting and network path and performance analysis to its customers.

The PathView microAppliance provides X10 Networks with increased flexibility for testing client networks by extending the visibility of PathView Cloud to a wide range of locations throughout customer networks, including small, remote offices and those without permanent IP addresses. It also provides a streamlined and inexpensive method for monitoring the performance of next-generation applications.

The program is designed to deliver a new source of recurring revenue and market impact for businesses whose primary function is to sell, service, support or build solutions that rely upon complex, distributed networks. Examples of these businesses include value-added resellers of VoIP, unified communications and WAN optimization solutions; and IT services providers, consultants and systems integrators who offer services for local or wide area networks, cloud networks, or other distributed networks.
