Features

  • PathView microAppliance technology - Low cost, zero administration appliances plug into power and the network and instantly begin collecting performance information.  These cellphone-sized devices make it simple to deploy PathView and eliminate the need to provision or manage servers.
  • Pre-deployment Assessments- Accurately assesses end-to-end network readiness for new IT initiatives like VoIP, VDI, and virtualized applications to ensure smooth rollouts with fewer risks. Allows you to avoid under- or over-investing by understand specific networking requirements in advance.
  • Extensive Network Monitoring - Observes many network characteristics and behaviors, including total achievable bandwidth, total available bandwidth, total utilized bandwidth, total provisioned bandwidth, jitter, packet loss, packet reordering, latency, host names and addresses, average and worst RTT, measured and reported MTU, and mean and predictive MOS scores. Additionally, provisioned but unavailable capacity and its cost is displayed.
  • Multiple Traffic Formats - Single tool provides coverage for voice, video and data traffic, with format-specific information such as MOS score variations for voice traffic.
  • Advanced NetworkTroubleshooting - Identifies the problem and the specific hop at which it's occurring, whether it is inside or outside of your network.
  • Broad Coverage of Problem Types - Finds many different network problems from Layer 3 down, including duplex conflicts, rate-limiting queues, network congestion, media errors, QoS changes, collision domain violations, MTU conflicts and more.
  • Network Usage Trend Analyses - Stores and analyzes a 120-day window of network performance data, enabling you to identify usage patterns and accurately project performance requirements for network changes or new application roll-outs.
  • Interactive Dashboards - Allows easy drill down from enterprise-wide views to metrics on the performance of specific network paths with just a few clicks. PathView Cloud includes interactive flex charts that provide additional flexibility and capabilities.
  • Powerful Performance Reports - Provides clear, easy-to-understand graphics and plain language that communicates end-to-end network performance data.  The optional PathView Report Server extends reporting capabilities for PathView Premise.
  • Unique Perspective - Shows dimensions of network performance that are not available in traditional, SNMP-, NetFlow- or IPSLA-based network management systems.
  • Custom Branding Option - Allows managed service providers to custom-brand Pathview Cloud user interfaces and reports.
  • MSP Billing Option - Enables MSPs to more easily track and bill client usage of PathView Cloud.
  • Third-party support - Supports many third party platforms including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) and Avaya Aura Communications Manager.
  • Multiple deployment options - Available as a convenient hosted service (PathView Cloud) or as licensable software you deploy on your own server
