Features

PathView microAppliance technology - Low cost, zero administration appliances plug into power and the network and instantly begin collecting performance information. These cellphone-sized devices make it simple to deploy PathView and eliminate the need to provision or manage servers.

Pre-deployment Assessments- Accurately assesses end-to-end network readiness for new IT initiatives like VoIP, VDI, and virtualized applications to ensure smooth rollouts with fewer risks. Allows you to avoid under- or over-investing by understand specific networking requirements in advance.

Extensive Network Monitoring - Observes many network characteristics and behaviors, including total achievable bandwidth, total available bandwidth, total utilized bandwidth, total provisioned bandwidth, jitter, packet loss, packet reordering, latency, host names and addresses, average and worst RTT, measured and reported MTU, and mean and predictive MOS scores. Additionally, provisioned but unavailable capacity and its cost is displayed.

PathView microAppliances send and recieve precisely timed sequences of packets to monitor network performance. The data collected is transferred to Apparent Networks' cloud servers (PathView Cloud) or to your own servers (PathView Premise) where it is analyzed and presented in an easy-to-understand graphical user interface.
