Overview

PathView micro ApplianceApparent Networks' PathView microAppliance is a small, zero administration device that tests and troubleshoots complex networks, even through third-party networks.  Standard with PathView tools and optional with AppCritical, it provides the simplest and most affordable way to find and fix tough network problems and to understand the network's impact on applications and services. The PathView microAppliance allows you to easily:

The PathView microAppliance can be placed anywhere on your network there is power and an ethernet connection. It measures performance characteristics such as jitter, latency and available bandwidth from that location to any IP-addressable target worldwide. It also measures the performance characteristics at each hop along the network path and if there is a problem, it determines the root cause and provides remediation information.

About the same size as an average cell phone, the PathView microAppliance's small footprint and minimal power consumption keep operational costs low. Non-intrusive to production environments, it requires zero administration and maintenance making it an ideal device for monitoring remote networks. Its ability to self-configure and update make it truly a "set and forget" device.

The PathView microAppliance can also be used as the target of tests when a suitable, always-on device is not available. For more information, please download the PathView microAppliance datasheet.
